Sharni Vinson is an American-born Australian actor, dancer and actress born on July 22, 1983, in Sydney Australia. In 201, she had her acting debut in an Australian soap-opera called Home and Away. She was in a minor role for only two episodes. The performance she gave in that small role was so fascinating that the agent who cast the show asked her to be cast in the principal role in the series. While she tried for the role, she was not selected. Instead, she was cast in the series as Cassie Turner. She is a struggling girl living in foster care. Both critics and fans loved her performance.
