Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is an American writer of cookery cookbooks as well as Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons to 2020. Ina started her career as a writer in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy reports. Ina initially enjoyed the intellectual stimulation of her job, but quickly lost interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. She spent eighteen years making the business extremely profitable before letting it go and grabbing a pen to begin writing her first book. Other cookbooks followed, as did magazine columns. Another hit came from the Food Network Television show. Her products range from appliances for kitchens to ingredient as well as storage containers. Ina was never to any cooking academy and has never worked in restaurants. She's completely self-taught. She is well-known for her unpretentious approach to entertainment and simple cooking. Her most well-known dishes include Skillet roasted lemon chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon. Balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Bars as well as Mac and cheese.
