Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American performer and actress, is quite popular. She was raised by her mom in the USA she was subject to numerous racial insults which gave her feeling of being unwanted. Her confidence began to grow in the ninth grade when she entered a school audition. She received a lot of praise for her singing. The experience not only helped to boost her confidence, but also changed the direction she was heading in her the future. She graduated from the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. The biggest success of her career came with her portrayal of The Lady of The Lake as Spamalot's original Broadway production. She did not only get the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by critics. In the year following, she joined the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. She is also a known singer and has released an extended play. In addition, she has been an advocate for LGBT issues.
