Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. The group wasn't success within the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford's solo metal career was successful after the 1979 group break-up. After taking lessons in singing, she released her solo debut album, called 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin' On The Edge'. Ford went missing from the music scene for several years after the albums did not gain much popularity. The hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in 1988. The single "Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. However, her fame was temporary, and she was gone for a couple of years. Her return came after the release of 'Black in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland nearly 15 years after. The year was 2016, and her most recent album, 'Timecapsule', was made available. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
