Lita Rossana Ford Also known as Lita Ford, is an American musician, singer and guitarist born in Britain. She was a lead guitarist as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock band made up of all girls from the 1970s. Their punkish music and raunchy lyrics made them not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. It wasn't possible for The Runaways to become popular in America, however, they enjoyed a great deal of acclaim in other nations, especially Japan. Ford's solo career in heavy metal was successful after the 1979 group break-up. After taking voice lessons, Ford released her first single album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin in the Edge". Ford's albums were not very popular and she went on hiatus for a few years. In 1988, she returned to the scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. The hit single 'Kiss Me Deadly' as well as the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' both became huge success.
