Lita Rossana Ford (also also known by the name Lita Ford) is an British born American guitarist who was as the lead vocalist of The Runaways a female hard rock group from the 1970s. They gained attention by their raunchy songs and punk-rock design. The band didn't have any fans within The United States. However, the group's popularity increased abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career following the split of her band in 1979. She took voice lessons and recorded her first solo album 'Out for Blood then 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford disappeared for a few decades from the world of music after the two albums didn't receive the attention they deserved. In 1988, she returned to the world of music by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. Unfortunately her popularity was only temporary, and she was gone for several years. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later she reemerged. The album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
