Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American musician, songwriter and guitarist who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics helped them get noticed throughout the world of rock. The band didn't have an enormous following within The United States. However, their fame grew internationally and especially in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career had a great success following the split of the band. She started taking voice lessons followed by her first album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin" in the Edge. The two albums didn't get much attention and Ford was largely absent out of the scene for a few years. In 1988, Ford returned to the scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both quickly became huge hit. Unfortunately her popularity was only temporary, and she was gone for a few years. Her re-emergence was with the releases of "Black" in 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland" nearly fifteen years later. Her most recent album "Time Capsule," launched in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
