Lita Rossana Ford is born in Britain and was an American musician, singer, and writer. The latter half of the 1970s she played as the guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl band The Runaways. It wasn't possible for the group to be popular in America, but they gained a lot of attention in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career when the group was disbanded in 1979. She began taking voice classes before releasing her debut album "Out for Blood", followed by "Dancin" in the Edge. The albums of Ford were not particularly successful and she disappeared for several years. In 1988, she came back to the scene by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her biggest hits. Unfortunately her popularity was only brief, and she went under the radar for several years. The release of Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. Her most recent album 'Time Capsule was released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
