Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American musician, songwriter and guitarist who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics helped them get noticed throughout the world of rock. The group did not have an enormous following within their home country of the United States. However, their fame grew internationally and especially in Japan. Ford embarked on a heavy-metal solo career after the band was disbanded in 1979. She began voice lessons, and released her first solo album , 'Out for Blood' then 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford failed to make any success with either record and was largely absent from the world of rock for about 10 years. The year was 1988, when Ford released her smash album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her greatest hits. Sadly, her fame was brief and she disappeared from the industry for many decades. Her release of Black in 1995 was followed by fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. Her most recent album "Time Capsule," released in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
