Lita Rossana Ford is born in the United Kingdom and was an American guitarist, vocalist and music writer. The latter half of the 1970s she was the guitarist in the hard rocking All-girl group The Runaways. The group was not able to achieve major success on the scene in the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career proved successful following the band breakup. She took voice lessons and recorded her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' and 'Dancin' On the Edge. The albums of Ford were not particularly popular and she went on hiatus for several years. She returned with a bang in 1988 with her wildly successful album 'Lita, which debuted in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her greatest hits. The success of her was brief and after a couple of additional years she was absent. In 1995, she dropped "Black" and fifteen years later , she released 'Wicked. The album she released most recently "Time Capsule," launched in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
