Lita Rossana Ford Also known as Lita Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist who was born in the UK. She was a lead guitarist as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of females in the late 1970s. Their punkish music and rebellious lyrics got them recognized by the rock world. While the group was not successful on the scene in the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford had a long and prosperous career as a solo artist after the group split together in 1979. Following vocal training, she launched her debut solo album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin' On The Edge'. Ford went missing from the music scene for some time after the albums did not gain much popularity. She returned with a bang with her hit album 'Lita, which debuted in 1988. The album's release Black in 1995 was followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. The singer was honored with The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
