Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British-born American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. The band didn't have much of a following within their home country of the United States. However, their fame grew internationally and especially in Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career after the breakup of her band in 1979. Her debut solo album was called 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her record Out for Blood. Ford was absent from the scene for a few years following her albums didn't be a huge success. The hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in 1988. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever' were both huge hit songs. The popularity of her was brief, and she went under the radar for a few years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she reemerged. She released her latest album Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
