Lita Rossana Ford (also called Lita Ford, is an American musician, singer and guitarist born in Britain. She was the lead guitarist for The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of girls in late 1970s. Their punkish music and raunchy lyrics made them not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. The group failed to gain a lot of attention in The United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. After the band split in 1979 Ford started a lucrative solo career in heavy metal. Her debut solo album was 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her Album Out for Blood. Ford disappeared from rock for some time after the albums did not become popular. In 1988, she returned to the music scene with a smashing album called "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her fame was temporary, and she was gone for a few years. Her release of Black in 1995 was followed by 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. "Time Capsule" was her album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Her name was given The Certified Guitar Legend Award by Guitar Player Magazine.
