Lita Rossana Ford (also commonly referred to in the form of Lita Ford) is a British born American singer on guitar who took the role of lead singer of The Runaways a female hard rock group from the 1970s. They were noticed for their rebellious songs and punk-rock design. It wasn't possible for the group to be an instant hit in the United States, however, they enjoyed a great deal of popularity in other countries particularly Japan. The band broke up in 1979, Ford embarked upon a successful solo career with heavy metal. She began voice lessons, and recorded her first solo album , 'Out for Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. The albums of Ford were not particularly successful and she disappeared for a few years. Her smashing hit, 'Lita was released in the year 1989. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. Sadly, her fame was brief and she disappeared from the industry for a number of years. In 1995, she dropped "Black," and 15 years later 'Wicked Wonderland. Her most recent album "Time Capsule," released in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the Certified Guitar Legend award.
