Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who was the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. The group wasn't success on the scene in their home country of the United States, it gained enormous popularity overseas. Ford started her own heavy-metal career following the split of her band in 1979. She started taking voice lessons and then released her first album "Out For Blood" which was followed by "Dancin" on the Edge. Ford did not achieve much with either album and disappeared from the world of rock for a decade. Ford returned to the scene with her smashing hit album , 'Lita' which came out in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her greatest songs. Her success was unfortunately brief and after a couple of more years, she disappeared. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later it was back in the spotlight. The album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
