Lita Rossana Ford is born in the United Kingdom and was an American guitarist, vocalist and music writer. In the latter part of the 70s, she played as the guitarist in the hard rocking All-girl group The Runaways. The band did not enjoy much of a following in The United States. However, their popularity grew overseas, particularly in Japan. Ford began a solo heavy metal career following the split from her band in 1979. She took vocal lessons and recorded her first solo album 'Out for Blood followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford was unable to achieve much with either album and disappeared from the world of rock for 10 years. In 1988, she returned to the music scene with a smashing album called "Lita. Both the single "Kiss Me Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" were big hits. Unfortunately, her popularity was only temporary and she was absent from the industry for many decades. She re-emerged after the release of 'Black in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland about 15 years later. She released her latest album Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
