Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford, is a British American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed throughout the world of rock. Although the band was not popular within The United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Ford's solo metal career proved successful following the band breakup. After taking vocal lessons she launched her debut solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin' On The Edge'. Ford was absent from the scene for a few years following both albums failed to become popular. The year was 1988, when she released her hit album "Lita". The hit single 'Kiss Me Deadly' and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever were both big hits. However, her success was brief and she disappeared from the industry for a number of decades. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she returned. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
