Lita Rossana Ford (also called Lita Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist who was born in Britain. She was a lead guitarist in The Runaways, a hard-rock group comprised of girls in late 1970s. The band's punk-rock style and raunchy lyrics made them not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. The group failed to make a significant impact in their home country of the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career following the split of her group in 1979. She took voice lessons and then released her debut solo album , 'Out for Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford vanished for some years from the music scene following the albums' failure to receive any attention. Her smashing hit, 'Lita came out in 1989. Both the song "Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. Her success was unfortunately brief and after a couple of more years, she disappeared. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later she returned. in 2016, the latest album'Time Capsule' was released. Her name was given The Certified Guitar Legend Award by the Guitar Player Magazine.
